The Easter journey of the Mission of St. Olav continues, bringing the light of the Resurrection to Ukrainians in various corners of Norway. The next stops on our route were Vansjø and Tonstad (Sirdal municipality).
In Vansjø, we visited a local reception center (mottak) where many of our compatriots live. It was an incredibly sincere gathering: together we held a service, prayed for peace in Ukraine, and for everyone who has found refuge here. After the prayer, we had time to get to know one another and enjoy warm fellowship over a cup of tea.
Tonstad has already become a traditional destination for our mission. We always return here with joy to share the Easter joy with the community. In every word and in every shared action, a profound unity and the presence of God were felt. We were sincerely glad for the opportunity to see each other again, to talk, and to bless the Easter baskets.
We express our sincere and deep gratitude to the Lutheran Church of Norway (Den norske kirke) for their invaluable help, openness, and hospitality!
