Christ was born amidst darkness, poverty, destitution, danger, the stench of manure, cold, lack of basic amenities, and without a roof over His head.
He was not born in a comfortable building, to a rich family, and in safety. He was born at the exact time and in the very conditions in which He was meant to be born, so that each of us could share a common pain and a common destiny with Him—and eventually, resurrection together with Him.
Therefore, let us not despair.
If you are in a trench—He is right beside you.
If you are in hardship—He is right beside you.
If you are in poverty—He is right beside you.
If you have lost your home—He is right beside you.
If you are in harsh conditions—He is right beside you.
If you are in sickness—He is right beside you.
If you are in danger—He is right beside you.
He is right beside you here and now. And He will be with you until your personal meeting with Him—the very reason He was born into this world.
CHRIST IS BORN!
