This day in Sykkylven became a true celebration of unity and light. We gathered together once again—old friends who have already become like family, and new acquaintances who joined our community for the first time.
Our shared prayer was especially heartfelt. After Holy Communion, we performed the rite of the Great Blessing of Water, so that everyone could bring a piece of this blessing into their homes. This was followed by a warm tea time and a long, deep conversation about what it truly means to be a Christian in the modern world and how to carry the light of faith through everyday deeds.
Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without our traditional Christmas carols, which resonated beautifully under the vaults of the Norwegian church. Time flew by unnoticed, and we parted ways only at 22:00, filled with strength and hope.
We sincerely thank the Norwegian Church of Sykkylven (Sykkylven kyrkje) for their hospitality and unwavering support of our community.
