"Stezhyna Dobra" Children and Youth Camp

A Mountain Camp for Children in Norway

We are happy to invite your children to participate in the “Stezhyna Dobra” summer children and youth mountain camp – a place where children can relax, make new friends, feel supported, and just be kids in an atmosphere of joy, trust, and peace.

The camp is designed for Ukrainian children currently living in Norway. We understand that many of them have experienced difficult changes, so our goal is to provide them with a space where they feel safe, accepted, and happy.

  • Location: Lifjell mountain area, Midt-Telemark municipality

  • Camp Program

The camp program combines active recreation in Norway’s mountain nature, creativity, communication, and personal development:

  • daily activities and team games;
  • quests and competitions;
  • outdoor sports activities;
  • mountain hikes and exploring Norwegian nature;
  • gatherings around the campfire;
  • creative workshops (music, singing, theater, crafts);
  • theatrical performances and preparing creative acts;
  • introduction to the spiritual and cultural traditions of the Ukrainian people;
  • discussions about values, friendship, and support;
  • voluntary youth spiritual gatherings;
  • language skills development through live interaction in a multilingual environment (Ukrainian, Norwegian, English);
  • themed evenings (icebreaker night, talent show, etc.);
  • free time for relaxation and informal socializing.

We want every child to feel like part of the community, find friends, and return home with joyful memories.

The camp is open to all children, regardless of nationality.

  • Camp Team

A team of responsible adult volunteers with experience working with children and youth from Norway, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands works with the children. We place great emphasis on an atmosphere of trust, respect, and an individual approach to each child. All adults working with the children hold a valid politiattest or an equivalent criminal record clearance certificate obtained in their country of residence. Holding this certificate is a requirement of Norwegian law for working with minors.

  • Safety and Living Conditions

We pay special attention to the safety, comfort, and well-being of the children:

  • a sufficient number of responsible adults are constantly present at the camp;
  • children are divided into age groups, each with assigned counselors;
  • accommodation in residential buildings in rooms for 2, 4, or 6 people;
  • the camp is equipped with standard indoor toilets and showers;
  • a health and special needs information form must be filled out prior to attendance;
  • a first aid kit and designated first aid personnel are available at the camp;
  • the nearest medical center is located approximately 15 km away; we will arrange transport if necessary;
  • constant supervision and an organized daily routine.

  • Phone Policy
  • phones are permitted daily from 18:00 to 18:30;
  • at all other times, children do not use gadgets; devices are stored by the counselors;
  • if necessary, parents can contact their children through the designated camp staff.
  • Transportation
  • travel to Bø (Midt-Telemark) is organized independently by parents;
  • transfer from Bø stasjon to the camp will be arranged by us at a designated time on July 26;
  • return transfer from the camp to Bø stasjon will be arranged by us at a designated time on July 31.
  • Conditions of Participation
  • 500 NOK — for Mission members
  • 1000 NOK — for other participants

The fee is partial and helps cover the costs of organizing the camp.

Form In the event of limited availability, participation is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

After processing the applications, we will contact you by July 15 to confirm participation.

Once confirmed, please make the fee payment by July 20.

In case of cancellation after the fee has been paid, the fee is non-refundable.
