Become a Member

The Orthodox Mission of St. Olav, King of Norway, invites all Orthodox Christians who have not yet officially declared their religious affiliation to register as members of our parish.

Registering as a member of our Orthodox community is especially important for the development of the mission. It enables us to bring Orthodox believers together in a church community, celebrate services where you live, and provide pastoral care to those who need it.

In Norway, the government provides financial support to religious communities based on the number of registered members. Therefore, even a single registration helps us organize more church services, pastoral visits, and provide spiritual support to Orthodox Christians.

Registration is free of charge, carries no obligations, and requires neither a membership fee nor any financial contribution. However, it helps the Orthodox parish in Norway to grow and develop. Even if you rarely attend church services, your registration contributes to preserving and strengthening the mission of the Orthodox Church in Norway.

To register with our community, you only need to:

• fill out a short registration form (it takes less than 2 minutes),

or

• send an SMS to +47 465 92 216 with the message: “I would like to become a member.”

If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them. You are also welcome to contact us or request a conversation with an Orthodox priest from the mission.
