Orthodox Liturgy in the Town of Bø

Today, we celebrated the first Orthodox liturgy in the Norwegian town of Bø, in the Telemark province.

We got to know each other, shared stories about our lives—where everyone was born and raised, and how we ended up in Norway.

And, of course, we prayed together. We prayed for Ukraine and its defenders, for displaced people and refugees, for the hospitable people of Norway, and for our family and loved ones. We remembered in prayer the souls of those who gave their lives defending Ukraine, and those who perished from shelling, wounds, hunger, thirst, and suffering.

Sending warm hugs to everyone!

Here are a few photos from the first Orthodox liturgy in the Norwegian town of Bø. We thank Pastor Axel and the local Lutheran community for their support and assistance.
