Fr. Andriy Pinchuk, a priest of our mission, has joined the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Below is the official announcement from the Metropolitanate of Scandinavia of the Ecumenical Patriarchate:
The Metropolitanate of Sweden and All Scandinavia joyfully announces, in the bright joy of the Resurrection, the addition of two new volunteer clergymen to its ecclesiastical body. Their joining aims to further support and strengthen the missionary and pastoral ministry of the Metropolitanate in Scandinavia. This voluntary ministry is a shining example of true ecclesial spirit and selfless love for one’s neighbor. In a world increasingly marked by complex challenges, such dedication to service is an essential pillar in carrying out the Church’s spiritual mission.
The first of the newly appointed clergymen is the Reverend Presbyter Fr. Andriy Pinchuk, of Ukrainian origin, who serves as the rector of the Ukrainian-speaking Parish of Saint Olav in Telemark, Norway. Fr. Andriy will provide liturgical and spiritual ministry for Ukrainian-speaking believers throughout the Kingdom of Norway, especially those in difficult circumstances. …Volunteer clergymen offer far more than just their services; they give their hearts and faith, making a profound contribution to the spiritual growth of the faithful and the proclamation of the Gospel message of love and hope. Their presence significantly strengthens the missionary activity of the Holy Metropolitanate under the omophorion of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and underscores the fundamental values of cooperation and unity in the life of the Church.
The Holy Metropolitanate of Sweden and All Scandinavia expresses its sincere gratitude to these new co-laborers, as well as to all volunteers who support its ministry daily with dedication and self-sacrifice. Volunteering remains an indispensable force of life and service that inspires and sustains the Church’s mission. The Holy Metropolitanate prayerfully asks that the Lord bless and guide their steps so that their ministry may bear abundant spiritual fruit for the benefit of all people and the glory of His holy Name, and that their example may inspire others to labor in the Lord’s vineyard for a bountiful harvest for the local Church.
